This is a weekly behind the scenes photo post, showing little snippets from my week in the kitchen.
You never know what you may find…maybe a teaser of a future post, maybe a little nugget or idea, maybe just a little peek into my life and home.
Welcome to My Kitchen
We had one of our first Fiengold Stage 2 successes this week. We introduced organic cherries back into our son’s diet without any adverse effects! Here he enjoys a breakfast of oatmeal with bananas and cherries.
You already know, will find a bowl of popcorn many many evenings in our home.
I usually share kitchen successes. But I’ll let you in on a little secret. There are often failures here as well. Just look at these failed rolls/buns. I’m not sure what happened…I think I carelessly miscounted cups of flour when throwing the dough together. Oh well, they still made good bread crumbs.
This week was a busy week of cleaning, baking and ice cream making as we celebrated our daughter’s 5th birthday. I made 3 batches of ice cream throughout the week and prepackaged it in portion cups for easy party distribution. Peanut Butter, Chocolate, and Vanilla.
I also made 6 dozen cupcakes, chocolate and vanilla.
My kitchen isn’t just for cooking, it’s also my crafting space. This week I quickly assembled a shirt for the birthday girl just hours before her party to match our ice cream and cake theme.
That concludes, this week’s peek into my kitchen. Please stop back again soon 🙂 Have a great week!
