This is a weekly behind the scenes photo post, showing little snippets from my week in the kitchen.
You never know what you may find…maybe a teaser of a future post, maybe a little nugget or idea, maybe just a little peek into my life and home.
Welcome to My Kitchen
This week was spent back at home. It was a week of playing catch up around the house. Here’s just a few highlights of activity.
I started making my first proactive steps of replacing plastic with glass. I purchased these (affiliate link) to keep our daily leftovers, replacing a set of old plastic containers.
We had our first successful Feingold Stage 2 reintroduction of food…Cherries. I am so thankful since our son LOVES cherries. Here I got a chance to use my Foodie Yard Sale Find cherry pitter to pit them to add to Saturday morning pancakes.
Another Feingold Stage 2 introduction was tomatoes (results still pending). It has been tough living without tomatoes since starting Feingold, we have especially missed sauces like pizza and spaghetti. (I usually make a carrot or spinach based pizza sauce for the kids). This week I made spaghetti for the first time in 8 months.
And finally, the water kefir is still going strong. Every two days, I process a new batch. Here I’m dissolving the sugar for the new batch.
That completes this week’s quick glimpse into my kitchen. Please come back again soon 🙂
