I really enjoy blogging. It is a little escape for me. A little creative outlet. A chance to share with others, things I’m learning along this journey. A chance to open up discussion and learn from those who are farther along this road than I am. While I enjoy it, I sometimes simply don’t get around to do it as often as I would like. I have so many things going on in my head that I would like to share. So many topics I want to investigate further. So many ideas. Yet, it seems that when I have the time, I sometimes lack the focus to sit down and get it done. Instead, when I sit down at the computer with good intentions most every night, I find myself doing just about anything but actually writing out what all is going on in my head. I’m reading other blogs, catching up on Facebook, browsing Pinterest…you know how it goes.
But like with anything, in order to get things done, you must set goals, write those goals down, share those goals with someone who will help keep you accountable and devise a plan to reach those goals. I’ve honestly lacked any blogging goals. It’s just been a fun thing to do, when I get the time. But last week I had had enough of my casual approach. I said what the heck, I’m gonna set myself a goal. I wrote it down (but I didn’t tell anyone else), I worked hard for a week and guess what…I hit my goal. Wow, that felt kind of rewarding. So, now it was time to set another goal. But just as it was time to do so, a challenge was posed among The Village Network Bloggers…60 posts in 60 days. That’s it!…That’s exactly what I need in order to get myself focused and into a blogging routine. And to get some of these ideas out of my head, pictures off my memory card, and get some words typed out to share.
So I have accepted that challenge. I will make a commitment to post to this blog 60 times in the next 60 days. I hope that you will join with me, encourage me, and provide your support through your comments and ideas.
One day down, only 59 to go.
